"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Got wet, how ’bout you?

Set!

Very, very rare

Point set

Hello Friends,

Sorry about the late report, but went for a wave early, had a meeting and got back late. Messed around in the cute offshore but mainly shutting down chest plus waves near Marquesas. Very few of us in the water too. You had to pick ’em pretty carefully because the better sets were unloading in waist deep water. Got through unscathed, so that’s all to the good.

Swell has moved around to the east per the predictions. It’s currently around the 1.3 metre mark with an average period of about 9 seconds. It’s twice that size way up north, so everything looks right for the predicted increase to happen over the next 24 hours or so. It’s not clear to me if we can expect to see much change before dark today though.

If the Bureau and the models have it right, we should see some very nice conditions for Friday and Saturday – particularly at those beaches that really like an east swell.

Next tide is the high at 1630.

Have yourself a fine Thursday!
