Hello Friends,
26 degrees by 0800. Real spring weather – in equatorial Africa that is. The gusty north wind was flattening the metre or so of 7 second south swell. There were knee high sets rolling slowly in at Dee Why, so maybe at a better exposed stretch, there’d be something approaching waist high. The wind is set to go SW around midday and then to stay that way across the next couple of days at least.
Thursday, which I’d been nurturing hopes for, looks an increasingly long shot for any really useful swell energy. A week ago it seemed that we might have a couple of metres of south pulsing in… but now maybe we’ll get a metre plus with W-SW in the morning and southerly by lunch.
We’re heading into week three of the crowdfunding effort and while we’re definitely going along pretty well, I’m going to be anxious until we reach the goal. It’d be so cool to hit it early. Anyway, lots of you have seen it now, but here’s my latest effort to get us over the all important crowdfunding line…

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough is moving through the south and west of the state as a high pressure ridge extends over the northeast. North to northwesterly winds ahead of the trough will shift to south to southwesterly over southern and central waters on Tuesday, and northern waters early Wednesday, as this trough progresses further eastwards. A high pressure ridge will move in over NSW behind this system during Wednesday.

Southerly around 1 metre.
