Small signs?

Thursday arvo

Hello Friends,

Had a chance to loop past the beach around 4 to see if any energy had turned up. And it has. The wind was (and is) blowing hard out to sea, but in the corner at Dee Why there were some soft little waist high sets starting to show. Given that it was smooth as a lake this morning, that’s quite an improvement. The MHL directional spectra is now showing around 2 metres from the W-SSW (the buoy is out at sea after all) with an average period of nearly 8 seconds.

Looking at the indicators, it would appear the swell will peak overnight but that we might still have something left tomorrow morning – albeit with pretty stiff s-sw winds and a big ol’ high tide at 0725.

I’ll try to file something for you a bit earlier tomorrow, just in case!

Go well and have a great Thursday evening one and all!
