Crowdfunding success and tiny waves

Bluer skies, tiny waves
Hello Friends,
After two months, the crowdfunding drive finished early this morning with $12,759 due to arrive in the RealSurf revamp and development account in about a week. And, we have another $1000 coming our way from the good folks at The Perfect Wave, so the final tally will be $13,759. An incredibly successful, gratifying and humbling result. Thank you to all 213 Friends of RealSurf!
As so often is the way in life, the highs are entwined with lows. This morning I’m scrambling to get things squared away so that I can be on QF11, headed for LA early this afternoon. My friend got through her operation, but it’s touch and go and I’m hoping to be of some use, some how to her and her husband, (my mate since high school days). At this stage I look like being there for a couple of weeks. But who knows what the Fates will decree.
So, it’s back to postcards from Cali and over the horizon interpretations of the surf data by yours truly. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Okay, on to this morning’s surf situation.
We have a tiny south line coming in courtesy of a swell at sea around the 1.5 metre range with a period in the 13 second range. This was producing knee to waist sets at Dee Why when I checked at 0700. Next tide is a high at 1115.
The latest swell modelling is showing the south swell picking up a little as the day goes along and with luck there will be something in the interesting range for you tomorrow morning – when your correspondent will be blearily adjusting to being on the other side of the planet…
