Extremely hazy this morning at 0830. Guess that means it’ll be a humid and warm. Topping at around 32 says the Bureau and chance of thunderstorms out west in the afternoon. Wind should be NE 15-25 kts later – it was already 10kts at 0900. Swell is a disorganised, junky and weak south wind swell at a little under 7 seconds apart. Set wave faces at Dee Why were in the waist high range or thereabouts. Bureau tells us this’ll fade by the middle of the day. Still, at least it’s sort of something…
Outlook is for more summery conditions as the week unfolds. May possibly be a little sort of bump around Tuesday, but really pretty much looks like gutless wind waves for the early is going to be the general plan. Strong northerlies for tomorrow apparently. I suppose that might push up a little east-ish local wind swell bump at the right spots… here’s hoping!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards northern Queensland, while a weakening trough is stalled on the New South Wales mid-north coast. The high will maintain northerly winds along the coast during Sunday, before the next trough brings another southerly change to the south on Monday, continuing to the north during Tuesday. Winds are expected to shift northerly again during the second half of the week as another high becomes established over the Tasman Sea.
