Back up a little from yesterday

Beachy peak

Somewhat lumpy

Hello Friends,

Energy levels have perked back up a little this morning and whereas you couldn’t really surf yesterday, spots that take SSE should have a bobbly and wobbly little something. Sets look to be in the waist plus range. Swell is showing as nearly two metres from the SSE at a touch over 10 seconds apart. Wind was lightly NE as of 0630. Tide’s coming into the high at 1020 or so – and it’ll be another big high.

Wind should stay light and variable and the Bureau tells us the swell is likely to peak around midday.

Saturday looks like being southerly 15-25 early then easterly but the swell energy should perk back up again, so it may be possible to scrape around and find a few scraps of some description – although the tide will again be an issue.

A head’s up for you, the Australian Surf Movie Festival at Harbord Diggers tonight looks close to booked out, but as of last night, there were a few tix left for the Palmie RSL show tomorrow night

Forecast issued at 4:10 am EDT on Friday 3 January 2014.
