"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Guess what? Still micro.

Micro morning

Fluffy bomb set

Hello Friends,

If you’re back to work today, then at least you can console yourself that you aren’t missing anything at the beach. There is only the faintest of faint SE wind swells flopping weakly in to our beaches this morning. The numbers tell the story. A metre at sea and not quite 8 seconds apart. I’m calling it knee to waist on the biggest ones at exposed spots. There was a light south breeze as the day got started in Sydney and the Bureau tells us it will go more east to SE at 10-15kts before swinging NE in the evening.

There is some 12 sec period south swell at around the 1.5 metre mark way down south at Eden, but even if it has the legs to get to us, I wouldn’t be expecting any real signs until dusk – if then. For now I’m calling it 2/10 at Dee Why – and that’s being generous.

Outlook for the week ahead is for maybe a slight uptick in energy levels toward Wednesday evening. Tomorrow does not look hopeful to me, but then again, there is that activity down Eden way… so maybe…

Keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Tasmania extends a ridge along New South Wales coast. This high is expected to become slow moving in the Tasman Sea maintaining a ridge over the coast. A combination of the ridge and a weak lingering trough to the west will be associated with persistent northeasterly airstream over the course of the next few days. A slowly moving cold front may bring a southerly change to the southern half of the coast during the coming weekend.
