Hello Friends,

Another marginal surf day coming up. Looks like the best shot is to head to beaches with a bit of east exposure because we have a short period one metre ENE wind swell lapping in. At Dee Why there were the occasional waist high bombs, but for the most part it was more in the knee high range. Such excitement!

The forecast is for the light wind to go north and then by late morning be kicking along at a summery 15-25 kts from the NE. Apart from possibly blowing in a few blueies, this might possibly generate a little extra wind swell for us tomorrow morning.

Interesting trend showing up (again) in this morning’s swell models. They’re projecting a reasonably vigorous looking area of fetch to form in the Coral Sea region and then to extend gradually down our way from around Sunday. Another system is shown swinging around Tas and into our swell window as well, so by mid next week we could well have ourselves some proper surf. And, if the Bureau’s right, the wind regime could be okay as well… here’s hoping!
