"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Grey skies, grey seas and tiny

Hello Friends,

95% chance of rain in Sydney today – actually, make that 100% in Dee Why. More this morning, less this afternoon. Swell? You want swell? Well you can’t have it, ’cause it’s only a metre at 6 seconds apart from the ENE. Ankle to waist high at the best spots I’d say. And then you’d be pushing a friendship.

Can’t really see much hope of a change to the situation for the next couple of days. The swell models are showing some hope of a little bump up into the surfable range on Monday. Unfortunately the number of surf options will be extremely limited as there’s also going to be heaps of southerly early. Wind should ease off during the day but it’ll be going east, so no great joy there.

This morning’s long range call is pointing toward a week of micro at least. The crazy long range guesstimates say week after next could be more of the same generally tiny and low energy stuff. Arggh. Hope it’s totally wrong.

Pic up when the weather clears enough to take one…

Have yourself a great Saturday!

Weather Situation
A high is centred over the central Tasman Sea, while a complex low pressure system lies through western New South Wales and South Australia. This system will shift eastwards later on the weekend under the influence of a developing cold front, resulting in a gusty southerly change moving up the coast during Sunday. Following this, a weak ridge will extend across the region from the west, with winds gradually turning northeasterly again during the new week.
