Hello Friends,

A warm and sunny day coming up with light, SW-WSW wind early. There’s only the barest hint of east wind swell showing on the latest MHL directional spectra chart from 0400 and Dee Why is unsurprisingly very small and inconsistent looking. That said, as the pic shows, there are a few waist high set wave faces to be had for the early. I’d expect it to be a touch better at the more east-favouring spots.

The Bureau says the wind should stay favourable for this morning before coming around to onshore by lunch time. The Bureau’s swell modelling is projecting waning swell today, so the plan appears to be go now or wait until tomorrow when we should get a repeat of the favourable morning winds and an increasing south swell.

Following the rain, Beachwatch is warning of possible pollution from North Curly to Manly, across the eastern suburbs, and from south Cronulla to Sandshoes.

General outlook for Sydney seems to be for another week of small, but not flat conditions and beyond that the projections are for more of the same into early March.

Have yourself a great Thursday everybody, and stay happy!
