"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Nothing much… yet…

Hello Friends,

Swell is headed our way later from the look of the buoy data south of us. As of 0300 the Sydney buoy was showing 1.7m from the SSE – but with an average period of just 7 seconds. Wind was out of the SSE at around 10 kts as of 0700, so early risers at Dee Why were finding tiny, junky, gutless sideshore chop with only a hint of a line.

Meanwhile, down at Eden it was 2.4 metres at 11 seconds from the SSW, and Port Kembla was 2.2 metres at 9 seconds from the SSE – so it appears to be inbound. I’d expect the energy levels to ramp up steadily and to be obviously bigger by lunch time at south spots. The problem is that stupid wind which by then will be 15-20 knots from the south.

Tides: L @0820, H @1415

I have a pair of tix to the final ASMF show at Palmy RSL tonight at 8pm. First person to get me their name, email and mobile number will get on the door list for tonight. Please use the contact form link above.

The models show the swell peaking today, then dropping back a little tomorrow as we cop more southerly wind, before pushing back up as a combo swell situation develops for Monday. Right now it looks as though Monday midday could be the goods at those south swell spots that play nice with a NE’r.

No takers for no quality at daybreak.
