"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

See ya later Cresco

Hello Friends,

After a glassy knee to waist plus go-out late yesterday arvo, we repaired to the bowlo for an ale and a roast dinner. Joined in the trivia night with the other punters under the name “in last place” – and ended up winning by half a point. Woohoo!
A couple of t-shirts and 20 bucks of vouchers still in hand, we wandered back to the caravan. And then it started to rain.
As the black sky turned to dark grey this morning it was still coming down heavily. The swell was supposed to perk a tiny bit overnight, but when the rain lifted enough to see it was plain that we wouldn’t be bothering with a fifth surf. The pictures tell the story – small, junky and pretty weak.
So, it’s back to Sydney with us.
Looks small on the MHL spectra chart, so I’m guessing we’re not likely to find anything of interest as we head home.
An okay looking east pulse is still showing in the forecasts for Sunday-Monday, but the wind call is bleak – SSE-ESE. Gurk. Not too many options with that combo.
Oh well, it’ll be what it’ll be. At least we seem to be breaking out of the relentless tininess of summer.
Have yourself a grand Friday everyone!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the central Tasman Sea will move slowly southeast during the next few days while maintaining a ridge towards the northern New South Wales coast. A weak cold front is expected to bring a southerly change to the south coast Friday night, continuing to central parts on Saturday before stalling and weakening. The next trough appears likely to affect the region late on the weekend or early in the new week, although it’s position is currently uncertain.
