"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Tiny but clean

Hello Friends,
Light winds and about a 1.5 metres of 11 second period SSE swell were not delivering much for Dee Why as we approached the 0815 high tide under mostly cloudy skies. However, the Bureau is still saying that we can expect the swell to bump up around midday and to stick around at the improved size until tomorrow morning when it will start fading back again.

As of 0730 though, you were looking at glassy waist high occasional sets where Dee Why was concerned. I’d guess that south magnet spots would be showing a bit more.

The swell forecast model interpretations are all over the shop this morning, but for the most part they’re showing not much between now and next weekend. There seems to be some prospect of a swell generating system forming up in the Tasman around Sat-Sun. But between now and then, it’s looking rather quiet for this time of year.

Ah well, that’s surfing eh? Have yourself a happy Monday!
