Sloppy size at Curly around noon
Checked Curly around midday and it was very busy. Size was into the head high range on bombs, but the waves were very wind swelly looking. People would paddle their hearts out to get onto one and either not drop in or go over the falls 10 times for every wave that actually got ridden.
Grom Attack
A grom development day had the junky surf being frothed all over at Queenscliff. Love seeing the groms do this. For the rest of us it might be a touch weak and wobbly but I’m inspired to go out for an attack now. Mark – Surfboards Direct
Not entirely hopeless, call it 4 out of 10
Hello Friends, The Bureau tells us the NE’r should start to make itself felt this morning, but for early risers, surface conditions were glassy, if somewhat sloppy. Swell is showing as mainly out of the SE at close to 2 metres with an average period of around 10 seconds. It looked like the shorter period […]
Whats this – rain?
Wow. Clouds and maybe rain. Haven’t seen that for a while. Tiny south lines getting into Manly. 9:20am high isn’t helping. The wind is supposed to swing SE and East by the end of the day so early would be the go if you are super keen. Take a longboard. Mark – Surfboards Direct
Grey Friday with little waves early
Hello Friends, Dull and grey with an 80% chance of precipitation on the cards. Wind was light early while tide was high. The Bureau tells us to expect 10-15 kts of easterly by this afternoon. Swell is out of the south and around the waist to chest mark on sets as the day gets started. […]

Micro Manly Again

Nothin’ doin’ at Dee Why this am
Hello Friends, Very quiet at Dee Why. Conditions were perfect with clear skies and offshores brushing the ocean smooth. Sadly the swell energy has faded away for now. The MHL buoys for Sydney, Port Kembla and Batemans Bay are all offline, so I don’t have an objective number for you, but I’d guess we’re looking […]
Swell on the fade
Hello Friends, Swell has dropped again overnight, but it was still around 1.5 metres from the SE at close to 14 seconds apart on sets. Exposed locations should be in the waist to chest range, with maybe the odd bigger one. The Bureau expects the swell to drop into the metre range and to swing […]
Wobbly.
There is still some size out there this morning. A good 3 – 4 foot still but on the drop. It was a case of mixing your swells and coming up with a hangover and thats the case with a wobbly Tuesday. Check more out at SPoY.
