"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Cloudy, glassy, shoulder high sets early

Hello Friends,

Swell has tidied up a bit this morning and contrary to predictions is pushing along at 1.6 metres from the SE at 10 seconds apart. The Bureau tells us they expect it to drop though. Wind was light early but is expected to be NE 10-15 kt this afternoon.

Gotta run, but might post another pic or two if I see anything interesting on the return trip from Manly later this am.

Next tide is a low at 1300.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving belt of high pressure stretches from the southern Tasman Sea across New South Wales and into Queensland, while a low pressure system is situated near New Zealand. Coastal winds are expected to tend northerly today and tomorrow as the ridge weakens and contracts east to the Tasman Sea. A trough with an associated cold front and a low, currently moving across South Australia, will progress steadily east during the next few days. This system is forecast to bring a west to southwesterly change on the weekend. There are early indications that the low may deepen considerably over the Tasman Sea later on the weekend with winds strengthening along southern half of the coast.
