"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

It was pumping this morning

Hello Friends,

It doesn’t get significantly better than this morning at Dee Why. Double-overhead sets were pretty common at the point for a good size crew on it from early. The beach? Naw, no takers, too many thundering shutdowns overwhelming the banks.

Swell is out of the SSE (162 degrees) at 12 seconds apart with an average height at sea of 3.3 metres. Throw in the seas and you’re looking at 5 metres plus offshore. It peaked at close to 4 metres overnight. Looks like it’ll drop pretty quickly today, but given the current size, it’s not going to be little today.

Gotta run, so back later with thoughts about the outlook for the coming week…
