"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Still tiny but signs of improvement

Hello Friends,

Westerly early and we have clear signs of more swell energy from the SSW. Not much of it is getting into Dee Why, but south swell spots should be getting into the catchable range. Wind is due to swing SW and ramp up to 20-30 kts, so it’ll be another breezy one. Still, the Bureau tells us in this morning’s forecast that we can expect the swell to begin increasing late today and by tomorrow afternoon we should see it getting into the 2 metre range.

Outlook for the remainder of the week is shaping up to be pretty reasonable, particularly Tue-Wed, but there should be something lasting into Friday at the south spots.

All good for the kids on hols!

Have yourself a great Monday everybody.

Next tide is the high at 1010.

Weather Situation

A weak trough lies near the South Coast in the Tasman Sea, and a cold front is expected to pass to the south of the state from the west of Tasmania. A high pressure system lies over Western Australia, and is directing a generally southwesterly airstream over New South Wales. The high pressure system will move slowly east to be centred over New South Wales by Wednesday night. As a result winds will gradually ease by Wednesday.
