Cold enough for you this morning? I was impressed at the hardiness of the dozen or so in at Dee Why point around 0730 when the air temp was about 7C. With the light offshore and wet skin, it’d be even more bracing. Still, there were some fun overhead sets hitting the point and conditions were clean. Oddly there wasn’t much going on up the beach. Hardly anyone in the water in fact. Maybe when it warms up a bit…
The favourable conditions don’t look like lasting long. The swell is out of the SSE at close to 3 metres with an average period of around 12 seconds, and it should stick around all day. But the wind is set to turn south soon and the Bureau is calling for 15-20 kts, so it’ll be pretty chopped up at the point and the beachy will be a write off.
Tide is high at 0915 and back to low at 1510.
It’s expected to be showery off and on today.
The south swell, south wind combo should continue through to Friday according to the modelling. Looks like today will be the coldest though.

A strong high pressure system south of the Bight directs a fresh southerly airstream over NSW Coastal Waters. The high will be slow moving over the next few days with fresh southerly winds persisting until a ridge builds over the coast and winds moderate Thursday/Friday.
