"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Rainy morning, rainy day?

Hello Friends,
The RealSurf wheelhouse is socked in as the rain tumbles down outside and the weather radar glows with more incoming. The MHL buoy is showing 2 metres of 8-second period east swell and the Bureau’s call is for the swell to push up into the 2.5-3 metre range later today. Wind is currently out of the E-ENE at 15-20 kts. It’s due to shift SE in the early afternoon.
So, even without seeing it, that says to me conditions will be pretty dire everywhere this morning.
The baleful winds will be with us through Thursday at least. And beyond that doesn’t look extra special either; lots of mainly onshore wind right through to Monday.
On the positive side, it also looks as though there should be a steady supply of 2-3 metre east swell through Friday, then it may go more SE but stay at the same size through to Monday. Plus it seems that the average period will go past the 10 second mark in the next 24 hours and stay that way through to next week.
(I’ll post a photo if we get a gap in the rain, but from what I could make out around 0800, it is sloppy waist high junk at Dee Why.)
Have yourself a top old Tuesday one and all!
