Looking close to flat

Hello Friends,

Another nice morning in Sydney, but with no real waves at Dee Why.Winds were light early and the MHL buoy was detecting about a metre of 10-second period SE swell. Given the numbers, I was a little surprised to see how flat it looked. From the shape of the forecast, it doesn’t look as though we’ll see any real improvement today or, probably, tomorrow. But from Wednesday onward things are shaping up in an okay way on at least some of the forecasting sites.
If the predictions are right, we should see fun waist to chest at exposed south swell spots from around midday on Wednesday and then lasting in one form or another into maybe Saturday (and possibly beyond…)
Have yourself a great Monday and get up to some good where you can!

Weather Situation

A trough and weak southerly change will move from the Hunter Coast up to the Byron Coast today, while a weak low pressure centre moves from near Adelaide into southwestern New South Wales or northwest Victoria by this evening. Winds along the coast will freshen from the north to northeast on Tuesday as the low approaches and then crosses the coast in the far south later in the day. Winds will then shift southwesterly Tuesday night and Wednesday as the low moves into the Tasman Sea and a ridge begins to build from the southwest.
