Nothing much doing for Monday

Hello Friends,

Looks like another sunny and breezy day coming up for us. There’s a tiny NE wind swell lapping lightly in, but at about a metre on average with a typical period of around 6 seconds, it’s marginal to near flat looking at Dee Why. Wind was NNW 10-15kts as I sat down to write the day’s words. The forecast has it tending NE this afternoon and then a late south change is set to make a brief appearance before going back to the northerly quarters by tomorrow.

While today and tomorrow are looking ordinary, the swell models are shaping up pretty reasonably for the end of the week. If the projections are right, Friday afternoon could see the first signs of a south pulse that is currently expected to build significantly overnight and come Saturday morning the predictions currently point to at least a couple metres of long period (14-16 sec) south swell. And the good stuff could stick around into Monday morning if they have it right.

Something to look forward to for all you lucky pups who aren’t on the injury bench like your humble servant.

Go forth and enjoy your Monday!
