"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Blowy old morning

Hello Friends,

The southerly was doing its thing from early and as of 0715 was blasting along at 30-35kts. No sign of swell though.

The MHL buoy is still off the air, but if the Eden unit is any guide, we might see some bump out of the south later. But that said, the swell models are not full of joy this morning. The Bureau says we might get 1-1.5m of SE tomorrow and then be back to a metre of south on Weds. Problem is, the wind’ll be SE all day tomorrow.

Outlook for the rest of the week is kinda marginal. No substantial swell is in prospect, so the best hope will be mornings at spots with good south exposure. Overall though, I’m not expecting more than chest high on bomb sets across the rest of the week.

Tides today saw a high at 0650 and a low at 1250.

Have yourself a great Monday everyone!

Weather Situation

A front that moved through Bass Strait Sunday evening will bring a southerly change to the NSW South Coast early Monday morning. This change will extend through to the Queensland border by Monday evening as the front moves eastwards across the Tasman Sea. During Tuesday and Wednesday winds on the south and central coasts will gradually turn north/northeasterly as another high pressure system moves to the east of Tasmania extending a ridge to the north coast.
