Hello Friends,
There’s a scrappy little NW swell in southern California, but by the time I got near the beach it was pretty much blown out. Size-wise it’s about the same as Sydney – ie waist high most places with the odd bigger one. Malibu was around the knee high mark and not at all crowded and Rincon was crowded but waist to the odd plus. It was super low tide (they’re having big swings here at the moment) and period looked to be in the 10 seconds. With no waves in prospect, we stopped at a brilliant fish taco stand in Ventura for a bite and then it was on to Santa Barbara.
Will try to put up a bit more of a report tomorrow if possible, but am kinda jet lagged atm.
