Sunday Bumps
A typical pre-Xmas Sunday. Early onshores. 2ft of NE windswell (a touch of tiny SE under it too) Building Sunday beach madness. 9:22am low Enjoy – Surfboards Direct
Small south for Saturday
Small south swell today with a couple of feet just getting into Manly if you are patient. Smooth. offshore and 8:11am low make the morning the best bet. Try and south magnet before the onshores kick in soon. Mark – Surfboards Direct
The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 27 November 2014: Seven day outlook for Sydney: Well there should be some little waves around all week at places that take dead South swell… at other places the ocean will be mostly having a rest… The winds look like being quite variable but light so pick your places and tides […]
SE wind from the get-go
Hello Friends, At 0100 this morning there was about 1.3 metres of 8-9 second period ENE wind swell showing on the MHL buoy. A little before 0400 the wind was around 15 kts from the SE and tide was headed to a low at around 0510. So, not the most promising outlook for the dawn […]
2 – 4 on the open beaches
There were a few nice sized waves on the open south facing beaches with a 2 – 4 foot south swell (4 foot on the bombies) smaller on the beachies. Check out and subscribe to my daily newsletters @ www.surfphotosofyou.com.au
NUP
It’s ugly and onshore and small. Maybe hide in a north corner later when the wind clocks around more to the north. The underlying swell is south so maybe try North Curly later (whoops I’m not supposed to give specifics – sorry locals, I’m having an off day) Mark – Surfboards Direct
Oh spring where is thy sting?
Hello Friends, Pretty quiet out there. Early this morning the MHL buoy was detecting about a metre of 9-sec south wind swell. Wind was 10-15kts from NE and the forecast is calling for partly cloudy and 25 degrees with maybe a shower or two late this afternoon. Next tide is a high at 1140. So, […]
Nice early but now…
Calm early conditions have been taken over by a southerly, pretty well finishing surfing for the day. But you only missed the 1 footers. www.surfphotosofyou.com.au
Super glassy
A warm, windless and super glassy morning is hard to resist just getting wet. Only some tiny NE lines that are rideable with your old faithful log on the right bank and with a lucky set. Southerly change due to ruin it all. Mark
A challenge even for the super keen
Hello Friends, Looking at the numbers for Sydney, I’m not really sure how possible it is to even catch a wave this morning. There’s only the faintest little shading on the MHL buoy spectral data chart. It looks to be under the metre mark at not quite 8 seconds from the ENE. High tide’s at […]
