Hello Friends,
Energy levels are a little bit lower this morning, but this should be as small as it gets for the next 4-5 days at least.
Swell at sea is around 1.4 metres from the east at about 9 seconds apart. Along Dee Why beach wave faces on the bigger ones are about waist high, but mostly it’s smaller than that. Average size is knee to waist. There could be a bit more energy at magnet spots, but I wouldn’t be expecting anything dramatically bigger.
Charts look interesting this morning. A cyclone is spinning up in the Gulf and a tropical low in the Coral Sea is increasing in intensity. The models are showing wave energy building steadily toward the 3-4 metre mark on Sunday. Wind is going to be NE 15-25 kts through Friday, but Saturday could see it going southerly and Sunday might even be a bit SSW as the swell peaks. Some models have Monday looking really good with offshores and sunny skies. Woohoo!
That’s a long way off, so no guarantees obviously.
Have yourself a great Wednesday and keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving, strong high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge towards New South Wales and is directing east to northeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast. A low over the Coral Sea is expected to move towards southeast Queensland later in the week which is likely to bring stronger winds to the north.
