"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Monday starts quiet

Hello Friends,

The day started glassy and knee to waist high at Dee Why. At 0600 the MHL buoy was showing 1.7 metres of 8-sec SSE wind swell. Tide’s low at 0930 and we should have 10-15 kts of southerly soon.

We should also see a fresh south pulse begin to fill in over the next few hours. Eden has been ramping up since yesterday evening and at 0600 was close to 3 metres at 13 seconds from the south. So there’s energy down there. The Bureau’s modelling has it starting to be obvious by 1000. The peak looks like being late this afternoon. They predict it’ll drop pretty fast after that but we should still have something for the morning session tomorrow – when the wind should be light.

From Tuesday afternoon onward, it looks like being back to marginal but not flat conditions.

Did you get in the water at Dee Why beach or mid-Curly on Saturday? If so, you should check out my galleries as I may have taken a picture or two of your good self!

Have yourself a great Monday and yep, I’ll be looking for a chance to grab some more pics, so check back later to see what I’ve found. I’m trying to get in the habit of instagram-ing a shot when I’m at the beach shooting. You can follow me here.
