"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Starting micro but ending…?

Hello Friends,

We’re starting out Wednesday with the swell setting at “just about flat”. But the forecasts tell us that big south energy is on its way. The MHL buoy was showing about a metre of SSE swell at 11 seconds apart. But it appears that the 15-20 kts of westerly wind this morning is hold the swell away from the coast.
Dee Why looked to be flat from the RealSurf crow’s nest as of 0730. I suppose you might possibly find a knee high bump up the beach toward Longy; certainly yesterday it was small at the Dee Why end but waist to chest plus up toward the Lugga.
This morning’s forecasts show the south swell arriving late this afternoon and filling in overnight and tomorrow morning there should be something obvious going on. The Bureau’s hoisted a dangerous surf warning for tomorrow and Friday thanks to 3-4 metres of south swell offshore. Thursday’s shaping as being the day for this pulse though because the wind will strongly side-offshore depending, but on Friday the forecast is southerly so surf options will be much more limited.
Your correspondent is going to head down the coast for this one, hoping to add a spot or two to his life list and with luck finding something of interest to share here too.
Have yourself a great Wednesday one and all!

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge lies across northern New South Wales. A strong frontal system will continue to affect the state during Wednesday, establishing a strengthening south to southwest flow over the waters for the remainder of the week. Later in the week a strong high is forecast to stall over the Bight, directing cool south to southeasterly winds over southeast Australia through to the weekend.
