Marginal morning

Hello Friends,

Less than a metre of ESE swell at 11 seconds for this morning in Sydney. Low tide’s at 1000 and wind’s west north west. Apparently it’s going to stay that way but just get stronger as the nights get colder and the showers come and go.

If you want a wave and sunny skies, take your small wave tool and go this morning. It looks like a pretty ordinary week coming up. With luck you’ll find a magnet spot and get something into the waist high range today.

Kind of a spotty looking week for Sydney where surfing’s concerned. The more hopeful models are showing an uptick into the shoulder high range Tues-Weds and then again at the end of the week.

Your correspondent got wet today, but only in waves that were roughly similar to, say, south Steyne – ie just marginally above flat. It was a beautiful day though and the post-surf fish tacos at Faria Park’s kiosk were wonderful.

Grabbed a pic of the peak we surfed after I got out of the water…
