After filing the report this morning, I made the run to Manly and on the way back, checked out Freshie, Curly and Dee Why.
Freshwater had a couple of little now and again sort of peaks in the waist to waist plus range. I was tempted, but decided to push on to Curly. Swell was bigger there with some set wave faces into the head high range – although mostly it was chest-ish. Much closing out going on, and the lulls were impressive. Still, there were peaks from the south to the north, so you’d have had a wave. Me, I put it off and went on to Dee Why. As my pictures showed, the point was unrideably tiny, however there were a few occasional knee to waist plus peaks from about the club to the pole. I could see people in the water up at the Lugga too. I decided to go for a paddle. And yep, it was getting inconsistent and the chest-ish sets were getting rarer and rarer. Only a few of us out though and it was a beautiful, offshore and chilly morning. Glad I got in.
