Rest day for all but the keenest of the keen

Hello Friends,

Off to a very leisurely start this morning because I was confident it’d be flat. Sadly, I was right. Swell is coming faintly from the SE. The MHL buoy was showing 0.7 metres at 14 seconds as of 0800. Tide was high at 0930 and there were areas of high overcast, one of which was shadowing the scene when I stopped by Dee Why and grabbed this morning’s pictures.

We’re headed to a summery high of 24 apparently before returning to more normal winter conditions tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, the outlook is for another day of microness, but there is a slight possibility of a perk from the south very late in the day. By Tuesday morning we should have a fresh but brief south pulse into the waist to shoulder plus range at magnet spots. Wednesday is expected to drop back into marginal territory before Huey dials things back up during the morning on Thursday (some models are predicting close to 3 metres of 10-sec south swell). And, with luck then staying surfable into next week. So woohoo for that!

Have a great Sunday!
