Back to very small, but maybe if you looked around…

Hello Friends,

Swell’s dropped a little more overnight and this morning saw only tiny waves along the Dee Why stretch. No one was in the water at the bits I could see, so maybe if you were up towards No Mans there’d be something possibly catchable. I reckon ankle to knee plus at magnets. At 0600, the MHL data was showing 1.2 metres of SSE (159 degrees) at 13 seconds. Weather was sunny but quite smokey and the wind was light.
The Bureau says the wind will go around to the NE this afternoon. It also expects the south swell to bump up a little offshore, but we’re not talking anything dramatic. Tide was low at 0520 and it’ll be high again at 1145.
We still have the prospect of a NE + SE combo swell for tomorrow, but the wind call remains for 15-25 kts northerlies, so it’s looking like a case of “hmmm…maybe” to me. Some of the modelling is showing the NE being nothing more than short period wind swell, but the south packing a 14-16 second period.
The Goat should be along later with his head’s up for the coming week. I’ll be interested to see his take on prospects for a mid-week pulse.
Have yourself a fine old Thursday, and stay happy!
