Friday morning looking smoky and small but surfable

Hello Friends,

Even smokier this morning than yesterday. I could barely make out the city from the RealSurf crow’s nest and the view of the beach was pretty hazy too. Not the best for people with respiratory issues.
At 0600 the main swell energy was coming to us from the SSE. It was 1.3 metres and 12 seconds apart. The point was showing the odd waist-ish bump and up the beach where the exposure’s better, sets were bigger than that but shutdowns were the rule. Couldn’t see anyone else in the water, but I’d be surprised if there weren’t a few folks up the beach.
Next tide is the high at 1230.
The Bureau’s hoisted the deceptively powerful surf conditions warning for a mix of southerly and NE swell. However, the MHL buoy data was showing only weak chop out of the NE and the SSE swell was also pretty average looking. There was a bit more energy showing down at Port Kembla though, so maybe it will pick up this morning as the Bureau forecasts.
As you’ll have noticed, I’ve finally managed to figure out how to get a picture gallery at the top of the page again. Sorry it’s taken so long!
Have yourself a great Friday one and all.
