Tuesday showing fine lines early

Hello Friends,

Dee Why point was well populated early. It was quite consistent looking and the bigger sets were into the head high range with the odd plus. Offshore wind was keeping surface conditions smooth.
The gale warning is still in place this morning. At 0700 it was W-WNW 10-20 kts, but the call is for it to go SW-NW 20-30 kts this morning and then to go more south toward evening. Swell was coming from the ESE at about 2.5 metres with an average period of around 8 seconds. We’re heading to low tide at 0945.
From look of the charts, we have a little east coast low spinning up to the south of us, and that means it’s going to blow pretty hard for the next day or so. If you don’t mind the wind, there should be swell around through the event and the wind could have enough westerly component most of the time to insure that at least a few places light up.
The forecast models are showing interesting prospects through to early next week. They aren’t consistent, but over all the pattern looks like solid but wind for the next couple of days, a lull on Thursday-Friday am and then another pulse filling in sometime between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Have yourself a safe and sound Tuesday!
