Thursday and solid

Hello Friends,

Dee Why point was overhead on sets at 0700. It was pretty crowded too and it looked as though there weren’t too many options along the beach. Wind was light WNW and the MHL buoy was showing 2.5 metres of 10-sec SE swell. Tide was high at 0600 and will be back to low at 1140.

Outlook is for the west to NW wind to pick up 15-20 kts later.

Swell should stick around today, but the Bureau’s modelling shows it backing off from the morning peak soon. Tomorrow looks surfable too, but there is a strong wind warning for S-SW of 15-25 kts in the morning.

Be interesting to see what the Goat thinks about the week ahead. My reading of the various models is that we’re looking at a dip into the marginal range over the weekend and then a week of smallish but not tiny conditions across next week with the possibility of another SSE pulse toward the end of the period.

Check back later because I’ll probably have some more piccies for you and have yourself a great Thursday!
