Little waves for a holiday Monday morning

Hello Friends,

Warm from early this morning under pale blue skies. Wind was coming lightly from the WNW just before 0800. Swell at sea was coming from the SSE at an impressive 16 seconds with an average height at sea of 1.5 metres. At the Dee Why end of the beach this was translating into knee to waist plus with the occasional chestish bomb. Heaps of folks in the water – as you might expect given the holiday.

Tide’s low at 0845 and back to high at 1515. Wind outlook is for light and variable. The Bureau and the models all are saying the swell should be less than a metre today, so we’re already ahead of that according to the MHL data.

Tomorrow the outlook is for a slight increase in average swell height with north wind early going NE 15-20 kts later in the day. The rest of the week looks like being of variable quality but probably marginal because the expectation is average periods will be quite short from Wednesday onward.

Have yourself a great Monday everyone!
