Choppy seas this morning

Hello Friends,

SSW wind at 12-20 kts smashing up surface conditions this morning. Tide is coming into the high at 0815 and we’re told to expect a shower or two. There were a couple of bods up the beach from the club at Dee Why but they didn’t appear to be having much luck catching the knee to waist-ish chop lapping in. The MHL buoy was showing 1.6 metres at 7 seconds from the south at 0500.

Outlook is for the wind to go more south and then SE this afternoon. Tomorrow is set to be easterly then going NE in the afternoon. Swell is predicted to be around the metre mark, but coming more from the SE. Unfortunately, according to the models, the average period is set to stay around the 5-7 second range.

The week ahead doesn’t look like breaking out of the present pattern. Generally speaking, mornings will be your best shot. Thursday and Friday look slightly hopeful in that respect.

Have yourself a fun Tuesday and go well with your day.
