Hello Friends,
As usual, first thing I check is the MHL buoy and this morning it’s showing 1.2 metres of 7-sec south wind swell. Not the best. Tide’s just turned and wind’s offshore at 0800, so maybe the south exposed places will be offering some tiny dribblers. Going to 30 today too. And tomorrow… crazy hot is on the menu. Wave outlook is not great for Sydney I’d say. A possibility of some activity on Saturday with a south change, but indicators aren’t great right now.
Meanwhile here in SoCal it’s unseasonably warm too under clear blue skies. But, like Sydney, it’s pretty much flat. I went for a look up the coast to a wind swell spot called Tajiguas which is maybe 10 km south of where the Ranch starts. Wouldn’t be anything in the Ranch today either. Grabbed another snap from a spot called Lorraine’s which is about 3 km up the coast from Santa Barbara’s version of Angourie, a right point called El Capitan.
Have a great day one and all!
