Tiny in the wee small hours

Hello Friends,

Just a quick head’s up for the early risers.

At 0100 the MHL buoy was showing only 1.6 metres at 7 seconds from the ESE. Wind was about 10 kts from the SW and the first tide of the day is a low at 0500.

Looks like there might be a wave or two here, so maybe I’ll have some pics to share later…

Northerly 10 to 15 knots tending southerly 15 to 20 knots early in the morning then tending northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the middle of the day. Winds reaching up to 25 knots offshore early in the morning.

Seas

1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning.

Swell

Easterly around 1 metre.

Weather

Partly cloudy. 20% chance of a shower offshore, near zero chance elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm offshore in the early morning.
