Surf forecast issued Thursday 17 December 2015: Eight day surf outlook for Sydney:
Looks like nice weather and some hot days ahead.. (so stay fire alert – report anything suspicious near bushland to the police).
Small surf for the weekend and the first half of the week for the kids, mals and SUPs to have fun at the right tide, right place :)…
then a little uptick from the South (nothing major) in the second half of the week.
With the hotter weather making the earlies and late sessions inviting, just remember there have been several sightings of those bitey critters around, so keep your eyes open at feeding times.
Friday: about 1 metre East North East
Saturday: 1 metre or so North East
Sunday: ditto
Monday: slightly bigger Noreast windswell (and we’ll probably get colder water again!)
Tuesday: ditto with a lightly bit of South swell mixing it up with the Noreast windswell
Wednesday: in the 1-2 metre range South East
Thursday, Friday: 1-2 metres East South East
Weather courtesy of the Bureau: Well… not the weather, just the forecast.. But hey btw I think they deserve a pat on the back (they don’t get many) for the Thunderstorms/severe weather warnings issued yesterday… Their updates thru the day advising where was going to cop it next – via your emergency broadcaster ABC 702 (you’d all know that right?!) – were pretty much on the mark, so well done to all – not for the weather… the forecasts! I’m always amazed at how they can predict the weather at all (remembering that in the 1960s your weather forecast was for ‘today’ and maybe ‘tomorrow’).
