Sunny skies, light wind and little waves

Hello Friends,

What a nice change. Sunny, not much wind and a few little south wind swell bumps to lure you into the water. Set wave faces at the point were in the waist range and along the beach a touch bigger. But again, the bank situation remains dire and pretty much every wave I saw caught ended in yet another crunching shutdown.
The MHL buoy was showing 1.4 metres of 9-sec SSE wimd swell and at 0815 the wind was coming out of the west at about 5 kts. Tide was low at 0610 and will be back to high at 1225. Wind is expected to gradually pick up from the south and get into the 10-15 kt range later.
Today’s swell models are showing the energy levels dropping a bit over the next couple of days before coming up into the interesting range on Saturday as the wave and wind regime switches to the easterly quarters. Saturday morning continues to look the pick because the predictions are that the wind will be pretty strongly out of the east from that afternoon until maybe Tuesday morning when we could see the wind backing off, but the swell still powering into east spots. With any luck the energy levels will be okay through to mid-month.
On that hopeful note, may I wish you a thoroughly pleasant day!
