Raining steadily to start, but waves for the keen

Hello Friends,

Hope to get a pic or two up later this morning, but it’s raining and RealSurf HQ is socked in. From the 0300 MHL data swell was still 2.5 metres at 11 seconds from the SE. Wind was WSW at 5-10 kts but the Bureau is saying it’ll be around to the south to SE. I reckon that means 1.5x overhead on the bombs but mostly chest to head plus on sets – at the magnets. Obviously protected corners will be significantly smaller.

If you’re thinking of getting in the water, bear in mind that Beachwatch is warning that pollution is likely for everywhere between Bungan and the Bower as well as all the eastern suburb beaches. Shire folks are in slightly better shape.

Tide was high at 0800 and is heading to the low at 1425.

Outlook is for the swell to last pretty much right through the week to come. It’s supposed to be southerly through tomorrow, but Wednesday should see a decrease as the direction goes more SW. Right now Weds-Thursday look particularly hopeful.

Have a great Monday one and all!

Weather Situation
