Surf forecast issued Thursday 21 April 2016: Anzac Day long weekend, Eight day outlook for Sydney:
This really is a nice time of year when the sun’s out…warm sun but not too warm, warm water, with periods of light winds and the occasional nice surf to play in… But will that be the case for the Anzac Long Weekend??? Hmmm at this stage a southerly change is forecast starting from tomorrow late morning with southerly wind and some showers through to Sunday night sometime…so you might have to grab good conditions whenever you can…
For the surf
Friday: around 1 metre or so East North East at first, then starting to come up with the wind through 1-2 metres at dead South spots…so go early if you can
Saturday: Probably in the 2-3 metre range at dead South places with wind behind it making it most unattractive at open places, and not enough of a wave period for it get into the sheltered spots… easing back later… bit of a dead loss day surfwise… a good day to get together with friends 🙂
Sunday: around 2 metres or so South East..with a short period and wind… got any more friends or family you should catch up with?
Monday: upper end of the 1-2 metre range South East, with lightish but onshore wind…might be OK at some places but after you… pay your respects to the Diggers.
Tuesday: in the 1-2 metre range with a little push from time to time East South East with light NE…hmmm
Wednesday: around 1 1+ metres with a little push again North East and light NE wind
Thursday: in the 1-2 metre range North East, light NEr
Friday: about 1 metre or so East North East
