Another very tiny day for Sydney

Hello Friends,

Yet another sparkling morning with light offshores early, but no swell. Actually, the height of the swell at sea is up from yesterday, but the period is only 6 seconds. MHL is predicting that the period will improve into the 13 second range later today, plus the swell should start to pick up by tomorrow morning. So, it would seem that the near flat conditions could be about to make a transition to more interesting settings. Whether that happens this afternoon or overnight, remains to be seen. My feeling from looking at the buoy data is it’s more likely to be the latter. Plus, the Bureau’s models are showing swell filling in noticeably from about midday tomorrow.

Tide was high at 0630 and will be low again at 1230.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the Goat’s thoughts are for the week ahead because the various models are pretty much all projecting solid south swell and offshores for the back half of next week.

Have yourself a great day everyone!
