Small but not flat on Monday morning

Hello Friends,

Light north wind as the day got started and swell was a touch under a metre out of the SE at 9 seconds apart. At Dee Why there were knee to waist-ish lines at both the point and along the beach. Tide was still coming into the high at 0910.

There’s a strong wind warning for the NW’r to kick up soon and then to swing SW this afternoon.

While the outlook is for the swell to, if anything, fade more today, the models continue to project it to start ramping tomorrow afternoon. Wind is set to be strong SW again, so surf options may be somewhat limited. The Bureau says it should be 2-3 metres from the south and then on Wednesday, they see it going to 3 to 5 metre(!) south with SW wind.

The models show the swell dropping back pretty quickly overnight into shoulder to head on Thursday morning. Right now Friday’s shaping to be on the small, but not flat, side.

Have yourself a top old Monday one and all!
