Dialled right back to normal at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Swell’s coming from the south at a touch under 2 metres with a period of 12 seconds. Wind is NW 25-35kts (there’s a strong wind warning). We’re in for a cloudy morning with a 70% chance of showers, but it should clear up this afternoon. Tide was low at 0545 and will be high again at 1150.
Outlook is for the swell to decrease as the day goes along. Water looks pretty ordinary, but beachwatch has only posted warnings of possible pollution for Northy, Collaroy, Longy, North Curly and Queenscliff.

I’m making the run to Manly soon, so I’ll have the camera along to grab a few more snaps, so check back later this morning to see what I found.

The Goat should be along with a forecast later today. I’ll be interested to see his take on the weekend prospects because the models all seem to be suggesting we’ll get a short-lived south pulse into the 3 metre range on Sunday. Looks like it’ll be the usual though, ie accompanied by heaps of south wind followed by a period of SE wind…

Have a great Thursday one and all!
