Visibility from the crows nest was down to 300m as I started rapping out this report. It should burn off soon, so I’ll post more pics later. I’m not expecting to see anything surfable though because the MHL buoy is showing only a metre of 5-se NE wind bump. Well exposed spots might see the odd knee high bomb thanks to some remnant 10-sec south bump.
Wind was light westerly at North Head, but the forecast is for it to go N-NE 10-15 kts this afternoon. Tide was low at 0600 and will be back to high at 1155.
Outlook hasn’t changed much since yesterday. There’s still a prospect of the swell bumping up into the fun range at NE spots late Friday through Saturday. Some predictions are calling shoulder to head, but I’m guessing those will be the bombs rather than the typical sets.
