Hello Friends,

High clouds made for a grey morning along the beaches. Winds were light from the NW and swell was around a metre from the south at 9 seconds. This was producing ankle to knee high bumps at Dee Why, although I’d say from looking at the cams, you could find a knee to waistish wave at an optimally angled stretch. There’s some long period stuff showing on the latest MHL data, so it’s not impossible for interesting sneaker sets to turn up.
Tide was low at 0605 and by the time it’s back to high at 1240, the Bureau tells us the wind will be building into the 15-20 kt range from the NE.
The Goat should be along later with a forecast and I’ll be interested to see what he thinks of Saturday in particular. I reckon NE spots could be a possibility…
Have a great Thursday everybody!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the Tasman Sea is moving slowly east, and will bring a return to northerly winds in most coastal areas. Winds will strengthen during Thursday south from the Hunter as the next cold front approaches, strengthening further on Friday before the front brings a gusty westerly change. Conditions should ease again on the weekend as a new high drifts across from the west.
