Weak east windswell morning

Hello Friends,

Wind was light from the NNE at 0630 and windswell was coming from the east at 7 seconds with heights out as sea around the 1.7 metre mark. The NE’r is going to pick up later and get into the 15-25 kt range before a similar strength southerly arrives before nightfall.
At 0630 I couldn’t see anyone in the water at the bits of Dee Why that can be seen from the RealSurf crows nest. Better exposed stretches like Curly and Northy should have a little something, but I’d say the bigger ones will be not much above the waist high mark. A very summery outlook in short.
Tide was high at 0450 and will be back to low at 1045.
While today and tomorrow aren’t looking particularly interesting surfwise, some of the models are showing quite hopeful signs for Friday morning. The more hopeful interpretations of the data are saying we could see solid 2+ metre 11-12 second south swell and NW wind for the early. Plus it should be sunny…
So, on that cheerful note, I’ll bid you a happy and productive day!
