Sorta catchable maybe but gutless and scrappy at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Grey skies and a steady 8-10 kts of SSE wind messing up a weak and tiny 7-8 sec period south wind swell. There were a handful of folks in the water up at Northy where it looked to be knee to maybe waist. But from there south to Collaroy it was just too tiny and weak to attract any punters. Around at the Longy to Dee Why stretch it was similarly uninspiring. A few blokes on long boards were having a go just south of the lugga. Every now and again something resembling a waist high section popped up, but as with everywhere else, the wave energy is at a low ebb.
Speaking of ebbing, tide was low at 0450 and it’s currently coming back into at 1.7m high at 1120.
Outlook is not too amazing. The current dribbly and weak settings seem likely to continue well into the coming week. This morning’s models are ho-hum until around next weekend when some are showing a small hope of an improvement into the marginal range.
Ah well. It’ll come back as it always does, so keep on smilin’ and have yourself a great day!
