Hello Friends,

Foggy start to Monday at Dee Why for Monday and less than a metre of 6-second period east wind bump mean I haven’t much to report in the way of surf. Dee Why can be crossed off the list I’d say. You might find something in the ankle to knee high range at spots better aligned to weak energy from the east.
At around 0800, wind at North Head was coming from the NNE at 10-12 kts. The forecast calls for it to pick up and be into the 15-20 kt range from the NE ahead of a late southerly change.
Tide’s coming in from the low at 0620 and is now heading to a 1.6 metre high.
Yesterday the models were basically saying we can expect not much change from the current conditions until the weekend, and not surprisingly, they’re still pretty much pointing the same way again this morning. The most hopeful of the predictions is saying Friday morning could be the shot. It’s nothing amazing looking (1.5 metres of 8-9 sec south), but still better than what we’re looking at right now.
So have yourself a top old Monday – and stay happy!

Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the Queensland coast. The high will direct fresh north to northeasterly winds along the coast ahead of a trough approaching from the west. This trough is will bring a southerly change to the south coast this afternoon, with the change moving through central parts of the coast late Monday and weakening along the mid north coast during Tuesday. Winds will shift northerly and strengthen again on Thursday, ahead of a strong cold front that is forecast to move through on Friday.
